Heather B is an Air Force Gold Star spouse, mom of six teenagers, author, and public speaker. She has lobbied the US Congress on behalf of military families and addressed the Texas State Legislature as an advocate for the rights of the vulnerable. She has been a keynote speaker at the Air Force Association's Air & Space Conference and the US Air Force Academy and a featured guest on Focus on the Family’s national radio program. Her first husband was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2012. She has since married a widower with three boys. Their blended family has done extensive work in homeless ministry and is actively involved in foreign missions, having served in Haiti and Benin, West Africa. Heather is pursuing a master’s degree in theology and counseling.
Cole G is an Air Force officer with 7 deployments spanning several missions sets. His expertise is air to ground integration and tactical command and control. He currently serves as an advisor to partner nations and works with US embassies around the globe. Cole commissioned into the Air Force with a degree in humanities. He lives in Florida with his wife and 5 children.
K Rice is a versatile American freelance journalist/editor and humanitarian with an entrepreneurial bent. Based in Europe while working lengthy stints farther afield, she is particularly interested in the on-the-ground, lived effects of laws, political decisions, and geopolitical goings-on on the lives of real people. As editor-in-chief of their publication, her current projects include leading an international team of media professionals and artists working as creative anthropologists to examine and explore world stories. Earlier career pursuits saw her working on the Hill in Washington, DC; in higher education; on the fringes of the music industry; and exercising her love of people as a chatty barista. She has volunteered in refugee resettlement efforts in the US and Europe and aided endangered journalists forced to flee unfriendly regimes.
Scott S is an Air Force officer with 14 deployments conducting numerous special operations activities with Air Force Special Operations Command and USSOCOM. His extensive experience finding creative solutions to complex problems range from planning non-combatant evacuation operations in South Sudan, to conducting multiple presidentially directed hostage rescue missions. In his current assignment, Scott partners with DoD, DoS, and other trusted partners to integrate resources into joint and multinational operations. Scott was a prior enlisted Marine until he commissioned in the Air Force with a degree in philosophy and behavioral economics. He lives in Florida with his dog Sasha.
